Thursday is for giving thanks. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are for getting deals. Now #GivingTuesday is a day for giving back.

Join the national movement of generosity and share the holiday spirit by donating to help feed families in need in the bi-state region.

For every monetary donation you make to the Foodbank today you’ll get two things:

  1. The rewarding satisfaction of knowing that every dollar you donate means four meals for a families in need.
  2. A chance to win a dinner for four at one of two St. Louis hot spots, Sub Zero Vodka Bar or Gamlin Whiskey House.

Sub Zero Vodka Bar Recognized As Neighborhood Business of the Year

St. Louis, Oct. 8, 2013 - Mayor Francis G. Slay and the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) presented Sub Zero Vodka Bar (308 N. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, MO 63108) with a Neighborhood Business of the Year Award. The award recognizes businesses that enhance the quality of life in each of St. Louis’ 28 wards.

Since opening in 2004, Sub Zero Vodka Bar owners Derek and Lucas Gamlin have been committed to enhancing the Central West End neighborhood. “We are focused on more than bringing business and jobs to the Central West End. We want to be dedicated community partners, and a part of the neighborhood,” says owner Derek Gamlin.

One of the most recent community partnerships is the launch of the Sub Zero Vodka Bar World’s Fair Burger campaign. The Forest Park Forever organization will receive $1 from the sale of each burger, and received the proceeds from the restaurant’s ninth anniversary party in September.

The Neighborhood Business of the Year Award was presented to owners Derek and Lucas Gamlin on Oct. 4, 2013 at the Mayor’s Business Celebration Luncheon at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.
